What it is (and what it isn't)

A cool-toned cream contour stick. A brownish shadow shade, not a warm bronzer, so it reads as natural shadow instead of an orange stripe.

The brush is built in. Draw with the thin tip, flip the pen, blend with the angled brush on the other end.

Made for cheekbones, jaw, nose, eyes and lips. Slim enough to live in your makeup bag for touch-ups.

What it isn't. A bronzer. Five cool shadow shades, Fair to Light through Mahogany to Espresso. Between two? Go lighter.

How to use it

Draw two lines. Under each cheekbone toward the ear, and along the jaw. For the nose, a thin line down each side.

Flip and blend. Blend upward with the built-in brush: always lifting, never dragging down.

Build, don't pile. Start light and add a second pass only where you want more shadow.

Eyes and lips, too. A soft line in the crease, blended up, for an eye-lift look. A short shadow under the bottom lip, then gloss on top, for a little lip flip.

Subtle from the front and side

Your contour isn't failing you. Your bronzer is.

Shadows are cool. Bronzer is warm.

Real shadows on a face are grayish-brown. Bronzer is made warm on purpose, to look like a tan. Use it to contour and it turns orange or muddy in daylight.

Ring lights hide it. Daylight doesn't.

A warm stripe can pass in a filtered selfie. In daylight and from the side, it reads as a dirty line.

    A shadow shade, a thin tip, a built-in brush.

Draw two lines where a shadow falls, flip the pen and blend. It reads as definition, not makeup.

You weren't bad at contour. You had the wrong color.

    FAQ

    check_box

Will it turn orange on my skin?

Every shade is a cool, brownish shadow tone, not a warm bronzer, so it reads as shadow instead of an orange stripe. It won't oxidize warm by afternoon. Start with a thin line and build where you want more.

I've never been able to contour. Will this work for me?

Yes. Draw two lines, under the cheekbone and along the jaw, then flip the pen and blend upward with the built-in brush. The thin tip shows you exactly where the shadow goes.

    check_box

Does it work on mature or dry skin?

It's a cream, so it melts into skin instead of sitting on top like powder. Cream-to-powder, no setting needed. Suitable for dry, mature and sensitive skin. Blend upward for a lifted look, and use a light hand on dry areas.

Can it really look like I got a nose job?

That's the look, without going under the knife or spending the money. Draw a thin line down each side of the nose, then blend with the angled brush until it looks like shadow, not a drawn line, from the front and from the side.
